Everything About A Mom is Important

MOMS ARE IMPORTANT!!!

You may be asking why I am so emphatic about this issue; it is because I see too many moms in my line of work who feel under appreciated, unworthy, passive and insignificant. It is time to eliminate these negative feelings and emotions and usher in feelings of self worth!

No matter if you are a stay at home, work in or out of your home or single mom, your value is immeasurable and you need to let yourself feel that way. Take a moment and remember an exciting time when you were not a mom (not that being a mom cannot be exciting). What kinds of feelings did you emulate? Did you feel fantastic, recharged, self-sufficient, fueled up, untroubled, relaxed, possess an identity? I am certain you did.

Now reality hits and you are a mom with no identity. You ask yourself how did that happen? Kids take a big portion of a mom’s life, husbands/significant others may have their own demands of you, other family members feel neglected, if you work, it can have its’ own set of stress when does it end?

IT IS TIME TO REVIVE YOUR IDENITY NOW!!!

The number one step of regaining you identity, self-worth, is not to feel guilty. I know how those pains of guilt can overcome you. The guilt may unintentionally come from your children because you feel you do not deserve anything for yourself or it may come from other family members (my focus here is the stay at home moms). Whoever or whatever makes you feel guilty you need to nip it in the bud. I know that is easier said than done. So I am going to give you two recommendations to start to remove guilt.

1. It is OK to buy something for you and does not need to be consistently discounted! You need to clothed, fed, pampered, just like everyone else. Stop using excuses that you do not have the time, everyone else needs something, you do not have the money, you do not know what you want, etc! I realize everyone is on a budget but now put you in the budget!

2. You are a stay at home mom or dad and do not bring in a monetary income. That does not mean you do not work! Being stay at home mom or dad is a very demanding and time-consuming job that has more overtime than any other professional. Point out to family members what you do for the family. Your income should come in the form of gratitude, value, significance, and thankfulness from others in the family. Then you need to refer back to no. 1.

Once you can begin removing the guilt, you will be able to start building a positive and recharged self worth giving you back your unique identity. Moms with identity fuel will feel and look great!!

Revive Your Image and Take Care!
